Lady Cats Wrestlers Make Noise at Castle Invitational

The Mt. Vernon Lady Cats showed grit and depth at the Castle Invitational this past Saturday, led by multiple podium finishes and two individual champions who helped power the squad to a strong team showing. Standout performances: Madalyn McCarty (140 lbs) — 1st place Ambryn Siddons (155 lbs) — 1st place Amelia Oliver (190 lbs) — 2nd place Paislee Hoehn (100 lbs) — 2nd place Jaylan York (125 lbs) — 3rd place Natalie Kuhn (145 lbs) — 4th place Aidyn Breeze (110 lbs) — 4th place Baylee Stallings (105 lbs) — 4th place Mariyah Buchanan (135 lbs) — 5th place Micah Lamberson-Angle (120 lbs) — 6th place Justice Stillwagoner (130 lbs) — 9th place Team result: Mt. Vernon finished 2nd overall with 181.5 team points, behind Jasper (196.5) and ahead of a competitive field that included Bloomington South and Floyd Central. The Lady Cats are back in action this Saturday at the Mooresville Super Duals.
