After a loss to the Newton Eagles at 3:00, Mount Vernon recovers with a victory over Wayne City. In the 40-30 decision, the Lady Cats were led by Abby Powell with a 15 point and 13 rebound performance. Stella Hall added in 10 points of her own. The Lady Cats are now 6-9 on the year. They will be competing in the Silver Bracket of the tournament at 11:30 am tomorrow against West Frankfort, and again at 4:30 pm.
