The Mt. Vernon Girls Golf team secured 2nd place (436) at the 21st Annual Lady Wildcat Invitational at Western Hills Country Club on Monday. Mater Dei won for the fourth consecutive year with a score of 420 and Southridge came in 3rd with 456. The individual medalist for the day was North Posey's lone golfer Mackenzie Mills with a 97. Two Mt. Vernon golfers earned individual medals finishing in the top 10. Senior Hadley Weatherford carded 100, the second best round of the day, for 3rd place after losing to western draw. Freshman Libby Reese came in 5th with 102 in her varsity debut. Also scoring for the Wildcat's were sophomore Emily Jones with 113 playing in her first tournament, and junior Shelby Lang with 121.
