Mount Vernon High School

The Mt. Vernon Girls Golf team came in a close 2nd to Southridge at the Forest Park Invitational on Wednesday at Christmas Lake. Despite falling just short, the team improved upon their previous team and personal scores. Mt. Vernon freshman Libby Reese was the 2nd best score of the day with 93 and senior Hadley Weatherford had the 3rd lowest with 97. Evansville North's Kiley Standring was the medalist with 85. Junior Shelby Lang and sophomore Emily Jones came in with the other team scores for Mt. Vernon at 114 and 121 respectively. Sophomore Aubrey May shot 124. Mt.
