The 2023 Mt. Vernon Boys Cross Country team opened their season at Gibson Southern today competing in the 3rd Annual Hokum Karem Relays. While no team scores were kept, it was a great day to put the training to the test. MV had 2 runners able to compete in the meet: Mason Hagan and Ryan McCollum and both ran well for a season opener. There were over a minute faster than a year ago. MV will have 3 more guys officially competing soon as 3 wrestlers are working toward meeting their pre-participation practice rule. Mason Suits is returning to the squad as a senior. He is joined by newcomers Brendan Hubbard and Malachi Spainhoward. Officials results are attached.
