The Mt. Vernon Boys Golf Team battled state ranked Memorial, but came up short 156-167. The Wildcat Linksters shot a best team score of the season but fell short at Western Hills. Brennan Austin led the way with a 37, while Freshman Chase Byerly came in with a 41. Nathan Craig shot a 44, Mason Higginson 45, and Ryder Snodgrass 45. Reese Harshbarger carded a 47 in his first career match, while Jake Carlisle rounded out the scoring with a 48. The Cats will return to action next Tuesday against Harrison and Signature School.
