Boys and Girls XC (Crawford County Invite)

The Wildcat XC teams traveled to Marengo for the Crawford County Invite. Despite unfavorable weather conditions the Cats brought home 7 individual medals today. Marcus Riecken was the to cross the line today with a 23rd overall finish and 7th in the Jr class. Avery Capes was next and set a personal best for the third week in a row finishing 38th overall and 7th in the Sophomore division. Freshman Logan Greenwell claimed the next spot for the Cats finishing 47th overall and earned a medal as the 8th freshman to cross the line. Next up was Jake Gross who finished 49th overall and took home a medal finishing 9th in his class. Thomas Scates rounded out the scoring spots for the team with another solid showing. Thomas finished 51st beating his time from last year by two minutes and twenty seconds. The boys ran as a pack again today with only one minute and thirteen seconds separating 1-5 on the team. The Lady Cats took home 3 individual medals today as well. Madison Cooper lead the way with a 7th place finish in the sophomore division. Makayla Scheinder was next finishing 50th overall and took home a medal in the Sr class. Makayla also knocked 19 seconds off of her time compared to last year. Maddie Abel made a huge jump forward today finished 55th overall earning her a medal in the Sr class and took two minutes and three seconds off of the seasons time at this course. Addie Blackburn was next finishing 68th overall and set a new personal best by 22 seconds. Rachael Shockley rounded out the teams score as she finished 84 overall. Next week the teams travel to Pike Central.
