Mt. Vernon Senior Libby Reese travelled to compete at the IHSAA State Finals this week at Battle Ground GC in Lafayette. For round one on Friday, Reese finished 45-42 for an 87, tied for 60th out of 108 golfers. Libby improved during Saturday’s final round shooting 42-43, resulting in 56th place overall for the 2026 State Finals. Libby was instrumental for much of the Wildcat's successes throughout her 4 years. During her senior season she was match medalist 7 times, PAC Conference Champion, 6th overall at Sectional, and 5th overall at Regional. The MV Girls Golf program will miss her friendship, sportsmanship, dedication to the team, and leadership. Congratulations Libby on a fantastic senior season and for defining what it means to be a Wildcat.
