Mt. Vernon High School invites you to join us on Friday, December 15, as Senior Raycee Stallings commits to Indiana University Southeast. Stallings, who has played softball for 11 years, will earn her 4th varsity letter this spring. Coming off of a successful junior season which included her receiving the "Defensive Award," Raycee has committed to IU Southeast to continue playing softball. As a member of the River States Conference, IU Southeast is located in New Albany, Indiana. Ms. Stallings chose the Grenadiers because, "The school itself is a beautiful, small, and convenient campus. The Coaches are welcoming and kind. I've always wanted to play softball in college since I started playing travel ball." In pursuit of a Criminal Justice major, "I'm making my dream come true." The IU Southeast Grenadiers are coached by Head Coach Tiffany Buckmaster and Assistant Coach Haley Book. As the result of a very successful spring in 2023, their softball team is ranked pre-season #1. Awards and honors included Voted 2024 RSC Coaches Poll favorite team of the year, 2023 Easton/NFCA Scholar Team, 2023 River States Regular Season Champs. Please join us on Friday, December 15 at 3:15 pm for Raycee's signing. After the buses leave, you may park on the street and enter the Main Athletic entrance at Circle Drive (Door #2).
