Mount Vernon High School

The Mt. Vernon boys basketball team ended the regular season with a victory on Senior Night over South Spencer 61-58. The Wildcats held on down the stretch by making 5 of 8 FTs in the 4th Quarter. The Wildcats were led in scoring by Jackson Clowers with 15 points, Nicot Burnett with 14 points, and Meyer Robb with 12 points. Mt. Vernon finishes the regular season with a 13-11 overall record and 6-6 in the PAC conference. This assures the Wildcats of their first winning season since the 2012-13 season and is the 5th winning season since the 1993-94 season. Mt. Vernon will look to continue their season in the Sectional starting Tuesday evening against Gibson Southern in the 2nd game of the Boonville Sectional. Tip is scheduled for 7:30pm and we would love to have a great crowd cheering on the Wildcats!
