Let the signings continue! On Tuesday, Arlissa Sharber, will sign to play volleyball at Frontier Community College located in Fairfield, IL. The public is invited to attend this event which will be held in the MVHS Athletic Foyer at 3:15 pm on April 16th. Please allow the buses to vacate Circle Drive and then enter the Main Gym entrance. For the past 8 years, Sharber has been honing her skills in preparation to play at the next level. She has 3 varsity letters from MVHS while also earning the MVP award, the Offensive Player of the Year. This year she was also named to the PAC All-Conference 2nd Team as voted on by the conference coaches. She also garnered a Silver Award for Academic All State as a senior. Although her intended major is undecided at this time, there were several factors that attracted Arlissa to Frontier Junior College: the coach, the campus and a smaller student population. The final piece of the puzzle was that "the team is very close to each other," she said. The Bobcats are coached by Nixie Hnetkovsky, Head Volleyball Coach and Athletic Director, and assisted by Libby Lingafelter and Erica Bishop. A member of the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges, Frontier College looks to rebuild on a 7-31 season from a year ago as 6 sophomores leave the Junior College program.
