Mount Vernon High School

The Wildcats defeated Princeton in a five set match Thursday evening at home. Despite dropping the first set, the Wildcats rallied back and held on down the stretch in the 5th set. Wildcat offense was led by Cassidy Jones with 24 kills and Josie Harshbarger with 7 kills. Cassidy Jones also contributed 5 blocks and 3 aces. Junior Hannah McNeece led the defense with 33 digs. Juniors Maiya Jones and Haley King both contributed with key serving stretches to help the Wildcats hold off the Lady Tigers. Wildcats will be back in action at home on Saturday vs Heritage Hills.
