Mount Vernon High School

The Mt. Vernon boys' soccer team made up their rained out match against Boonville on Tuesday night. This was the team's senior night. The Wildcats recognized seniors James Basden, Hayden Deckard, Max Hamrick and Kyle Lindenschmidt. Throughout most of the first half Mt. Vernon controlled the possession and pace of the match, but couldn't get off a clean shot past the Pioneer keeper. Unfortunately, the Pioneers took advantage of one of their few opportunities and scored a goal. At the break the score was 1-0. In the second half Mt. Vernon continued to control the ball, but again couldn't get a shot past the Boonville keeper. The Wildcats gave up two more goals in the half. The final score was 3-0. This was the Wildcats' final home game of the season.
