Mount Vernon High School

The boys soccer team traveled to Washington on Thursday evening to wrap up their regular season against the Hatchets. Mt. Vernon got off to a strong start and had a few early scoring chances before Washington took over and snuck a goal through to take the early lead. Mt. Vernon held their heads high and continued applying pressure to the Hatchet defense. Washington added two more goals in the half to go into the break with a 3-0 lead. In the second half Washington added an early goal to their lead. Mt. Vernon came close several times to scoring to draw closer but were ultimately shut out. The final score ended 4-0.
