The Varsity boys basketball team won at home Friday night 56-50 to improve to 4-3 on the season. After a tough first half, the Cats responded in the 3rd quarter outscoring the Trojans 19-8 in the 3rd quarter and made some big shots including Jack Campbell's top of the key three to give the Cats the lead for the first time in the 2nd half. The Cats had 3 in double figures led by Meyer Robb with 16 points, Nash Hostetter with 12 points and Greyson Buse with 10 points. Brady Schickel had 9 points and 11 rebounds and Bryce Clowers had 6 points including a huge 3 in the middle of the 4th to put the Cats up 5. Mt. Vernon will be back in action tomorrow night at home to take on the Gibson Southern Titans. JV will tip at 5:30 and the Varsity will follow around 7pm. #PLAYHARD #GOCATS
