Mount Vernon High School

The inaugural IHSAA Girls Wrestling tournament starts with a Sectional round this Friday, 1/3/25. Mt. Vernon (Posey) is one of 16 locations statewide to host this opening round tournament. There are a total of 16 schools represented in this event: Boonville, Castle, Evansville Bosse, Evansville Central, Evansville Reitz, Heritage Hills, Jasper, Mt. Vernon, North Knox, North Posey, Owen Valley, Paoli, Pike Central, Southridge, Sullivan and Tecumseh. The gates will open at 8:30 am (cst) for fans and all tickets are $7. Tickets may be purchased with cash at the gate or online via: https://public.eventlink.com/tickets?t=108188. Wrestling is scheduled to start at 9 am (cst) with the top 4 finishers in each weight class advancing to the IHSAA Regional at Mooresville High School on Friday, 1/10/25.
