Mount Vernon High School

The Mt. Vernon Girls Golf team placed 3rd with a team score of 410 while hosting the 23rd annual Lady Wildcat Invitational at Western Hills CC (Par 73.) Reitz (407) won by three strokes over the 'Cats (410) and two strokes over second place Southridge (409.) Mt. Vernon junior golfer Libby Reese was the tournament's overall individual champion with a score of 84, besting North Posey's Mackenzie Mills who had 85. Mt. Vernon senior Emily Jones shot 95, which earned her the individual 5th place ribbon. Sophomore Elise Williams had 115 and junior Attalia Wolf carded 116 rounding out the 4 scores for Mt. Vernon. Also competing were freshman Addison Pickett shooting 123 for her first 18 hole round and sophomore Joslyn David who had 128.
