JV Soccer Has First Match

By Christopher Cole | Aug 25, 2025 10:57 PM

The boys' junior varsity soccer team had their long awaited first match of the season on Monday night when they took on the Pike Central Chargers. Due to low numbers for both teams, the match was just one half played after the varsity match. For many Wildcat players this was their first career game. Many underclassman stood out in what ended up being a 3-0 loss. The defense played well, being lead by junior Derek Lindenschmidt. Sophomores Cody Mavrick and Nolan Cox, along with freshman Korvon Stewart came up with many big stops to keep the game close. Offensively junior Logan Anderson and sophomore Dillon Kuhn had some good moments. Unfortunately the Cats didn't have many scoring opportunities and ended up being shutout. The young Cats will use this as a learning opportunity as they build towards their future.
