Varsity vs Boonville (5 - 1) Win. The Lady Wildcats won a conference game with Boonville tonight by a score of 5-1. Jaylan York got the Wildcats on the board with a pass from Ella Sponn to make it 1-0. Ella Sponn kept that scoring going when she added a goal of her own to make the score 2-0. Hailey Jarvis scored after a corner kick from Taylor Ellison that was sent back into the box to make the score 3-0. The Pioneers answered back on a goal from 20 yards out to start the second half but the Lady Wildcats responded again. Olivis Staib carried the ball down the field and was fouled in the box which resulted in a penalty kick. Ella Sponn stepped up and buried it in the back of the net to make the score 4-1. Finally in the last 5 minutes of the game another corner kick from Taylor Ellison resulted in the ball being cleared at to the top of the 18 yard box where Ella Sponn hit it first time and once again buried it in the back of the net. Final score 5-1 in favor of the Lady Wildcats to put them at 2-1 in the conference. The Lady Cats play again tomorrow against South Knox.
