Mount Vernon High School

The Mount Vernon Wildcat swimmers had a great day at the pool, taking on 8 co-ed local rivals at the Big Splash meet in Evansville. The combined scoring event, featuring mixed gender relays, showcased the Wildcat talent and led to 9 major wins of events; 1 relay win was later disqualified due to no fault of the 4 victorious swimmers. The team scores had the Wildcats finishing in 3rd, 14 points just shy of North after the 32 point loss of the relay points. There were over 10 lifetime best swims and 25 season best swims. The Wildcat talent was on full display as the maroon and gray blazed to first (and the top 3) in a majority of events. Without the combined relays, each team finished in 2nd place overall.
