Mount Vernon High School

The Mt. Vernon girls swimming & diving team is headed into the 2026 Sectional after a season of hard work, commitment, and growth—and they’re ready to race for a title and a chance to advance to the IHSAA State Finals. Advancement comes by winning a heat (individual or relay) or qualifying through cut times and available state entries—every race matters. Sectional action takes place at the Deaconess Aquatic Center and begins with swim prelims at 5:30 pm on Thursday, February 5, followed by diving prelims Saturday morning February 7 at 9:00 am, and finals on Saturday, February 7 at 1:00 pm. Doors will open one hour prior to each session. Tickets are $8 per session or $14 for all sessions. We’re proud of our student athletes and excited to support them as they chase something special—let’s go Wildcats!
