Congratulations to our swim team on the recent updates to our team banners! Our new 2026 IHSAA State Finals placings, Academic All American, and 4 school records were added to our team histories! These achievements include: Boys State Finals-19th place (the highest placing for MVHS in 27 years) (O. Jankowski, C. Green, C. O'Daniel, CJ Gentry) Girls State Finals- 19th place (P. McDaniel, E. Wells, V. Poling, I. Benthall, M. Cooper) Academic All American- Senior Ozzy Jankowski (3.75 cumulative GPA) School Records- Ozzy Jankowski- 100 butterfly (All American time), 100 backstroke (All American consideration time) Peyton McDaniel- 50 free (All American time), 100 butterfly (All American consideration time) Final All American (Top 100 in the Nation) rankings will be finalized in June, with addition of a banner to honor the swims of Ozzy (100 fly) & Peyton (50 free). They have both achieved an automatic All American swim, and we hope to add a second event for each of them when the rankings are finalized! Our swimmers are hard at work this spring preparing for another great season! Good luck to Camas O'Daniel, Peyton McDaniel, and Ozzy Jankowski, who will represent Mount Vernon at this week's Indy Spring Cup- a National level qualifying time standard meet! Good luck, Wildcats!
