MVHS invites you to attend another signing! On Friday, 4/12, senior Kyle Holder will have his signing at 3:15 pm in the Athletic Foyer and the public is invited to attend. Please wait until the buses have left Circle Drive and then use the Main Gym entrance. Kyle will be playing baseball next year at Indiana's only Junior College: Vincennes University. He has played baseball all four years at MVHS and has 3 varsity letters to this point. While attending VU, Holder will major in Welding. When asked why he chose Vincennes, Holder indicated that he wanted to be part of a very good baseball program while being able to get a great start on his career. The Trailblazers are led by Head Coach Chris Barney who is in his 15th year at the helm at VU. Per the VU athletic website, "He led VU to its first ever appearance in the NJCAA Div. II World Series in 2010 and guided the Trailblazers back to the national tournament in 2014. VU won its first game of the 2014 World Series. Over the past thirteen years, the Trailblazers have sent more than 105 players on to continue their diamond careers at four-year programs and 27 players have signed with NCAA Div. I schools such as Alcorn State, Indiana, Indiana State, Dayton, Purdue- Fort Wayne, Purdue, Ball State, Ohio University, Morehead State, Stetson, University of Evansville, Eastern Kentucky, Western Illinois, University of South Alabama, and High Point after completing their VU careers. Three Trailblazer players were named NJCAA All-Americans."
