Varsity vs South Spencer (56 - 28) Win Mount Vernon jumped out to a 28-7 halftime lead, and pulled away late for 56-28 victory. The Cats even their record to 1-1 on the young season. Grant Lippe had 14 carries for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ryder Snodgrass was 9-12 for 217 yards passing and 4 scores. Nash Hostetter had 2 of those receptions for 99 yards and 2 TD's. Hunter Pedrotti had a 57 yards TD reception along with a defensive touchdown. Logan Clowers had a 12 yard TD reception. Shane Krieger had rushing TD for the Wildcats as well. Mount Vernon will be back in action at home next week against Pike Central for Homecoming. The festival starts at 4 pm, Homecoming Coronation will be at 6 pm and the game will kick off at 6:30 pm.
