Varsity vs Boonville (21 - 14) Win Mount Vernon improved to 4-2 on the season by defeating Boonville on Saturday. The 'Cats jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead, before holding on to the victory. Grant Lippe rushed for 128 yards and 2 TD's. Ryder Snodgrass had a rushing TD as well for the Wildcats in the 1st half. Nash Hostetter and 70 yards receiving including an outstanding catch that set up a score for Mt. Vernon from 1 yard in. Hostetter also had a 42 yard punt return to Boonville's 2 yard line that set up another score. On defense, Shane Krieger led the Wildcats with 14 total tackles. Nash Hostetter & Hunter Pedrotti had INT's for the Wildcats. Brady Schickel had 2 sacks, and Eastin Hall caused a fumble that was recovered by Logan Clowers. Mount Vernon will travel to Heritage Hills next week
