Mount Vernon High School

The 24-25 Swimming & Diving season is off to a great start! Our ladies are finishing their 2nd full week of practice and our boys have been putting in the work at pre-season with their first official practice on Monday. The teams are the largest in over 5 years and there is much to be excited for. A large group of swimmers committed to club swimming in the off season and hope to make big gains immediately in the high school season. This group is aiming for a PAC championship and multiple State qualifying swims. For the girls- Returning top swimmers include: Jaley Hamilton, Malley Wagner, Ella Wells, and Andrea Rutledge. These girls were PAC Champions, Sectional Finalists, and 3 were State qualifiers. New freshman looking to make an immediate impact include: Peyton McDaniel, Isabella Benthall, and Victoria Poling. Rounding out the team are newcomers: Madisyn Burgdorf, Delaney Biggerstaff, Jade Johnson, and divers Jaycee Campbell and Alyssa Fendel. For the boys- Our seniors are led by Sectional finalist John Thomason and Jaxston Raben who look to make major contributions this season. Our boys team has their sights on a first ever PAC championship and State presence this season. With a strong, young group including boys who committed to club swimming: Ozzy Jankowski, Eli McFadin, Clayton Green, Camas O'Daniel, Marcus Riecken, Ryan McCollum, Johnny Bohleber, this group has a bright future. Newcomers: Austin McKay-Gardner, Mason Smith (diving), and Ethan Russell, Arthur Toffoli, and CJ Gentry look to pick it up quickly and make an impact.
