Mount Vernon High School

The swim teams traveled to Center Grove High School today in a highly competitive invitational that saw teams from northern Indiana, southern Indiana, and Ohio swim in an 'off format' meet. Coming off a hard 2 weeks of Christmas training saw a variety of performances in this unusual, fast-paced meet. Top 3 swims include: Ella Wells- 200 Freestyle (3) Ozzy Jankowski- 50 Backstroke (3), 50 Fly (3) Peyton McDaniel- 400 IM (2), 200 Fly (2), 50 Fly (1) 200 Free Relay- Peyton McDaniel, Ella Wells, Malley Wagner, Isabella Benthall (3) Final team placement- Girls 4th, Boys 7th Meanwhile, locally, our diver Jaycee Campbell competed at a diving invitational at the DAC and placed 11th, completing her first full 11 dive meet as a new diver. This is outstanding for the short amount of time she has been diving! The Cats next meet will be a 6 team Coed Invitational this Saturday. Come support your Wildcats.
