The Mount Vernon Wildcats are the 2025 PAC Champions! In a nail biting meet to the end, the Mount Vernon Girls Swimming & Diving team pulled out the victory to take the 2025 PAC Conference Championship today over the 11 team field. With fantastic performances from every finalist, the team held off a close challenge from the much larger Heritage Hills squad. Every single swimmer and diver counted today more than ever to help the Wildcats to victory. Highlights include: The Wildcats won 9/12 of the events with dominant performances. Peyton McDaniel not only won her events, but set new PAC records in the 50 free and 100 butterfly. Top finishes also came from: 200 Medley Relay: Jaley Hamilton, Malley Wagner, Isabella Benthall, Victoria Poling 200 Freestyle Relay: Isabella Benthall, Malley Wagner, Ella Wells, Peyton McDaniel 400 Freestyle Relay: Andrea Rutledge, Ella Wells, Jaley Hamilton, Peyton McDaniel 200 & 500 Freestyle: Ella Wells 50 Free & 100 Butterfly: Peyton McDaniel 100 Backstroke: Jaley Hamilton 100 Breaststroke: Malley Wagner Top 12 Finalists included: 200 Freestyle- Isabella Benthall 5th 200 IM- Malley Wagner 3rd 50 Free- Victoria Poling 10th 100 Butterfly- Isabella Benthall 4th 100 Freestyle- Jaley Hamilton 2nd 500 Freestyle- Andrea Rutledge 3rd 100 Backstroke- Andrea Rutledge 5th, Victoria Poling 9th Diving: Jaycee Campbell 3rd Congratulations to our hard working Wildcats!
