The Wildcat Boys Swimming & Diving season has come to an end with great performances at the State finals from the 200 Free Relay team of Jaxston Raben, Ozzy Jankowski, John Thomason, and Eli McFadin and individual performances by Ozzy Jankowski in the 100 fly and 100 back. The boys relay finished in 23rd position, moving up 4 spots and improving their seed time. Ozzy Jankowski broke the school record in the 100 fly on his way to making the consolation finals at 9th, and ultimately placing 13th. His 100 backstroke was just shy of finals qualification at 19th and just off his Sectional school record breaking swim by .08. The team finished 41st in the State with those points, a first in 12 years for the Wildcat boys team. The 2 records add to 10 swims that ranked in the All Time Top 16 performances for Mount Vernon, which shows the tremendous improvement the Wildcat team has undergone in the past few years. There is much to be excited about at the pool! Congratulations to our senior class on 4 years of commitment and hard work in the pool and classroom.
