Wildcat Baseball Dugout Renovation Nears Completion

By Leigh Ann Latshaw | Mar 23, 2025 8:24 AM

We’re excited to share that the Mt. Vernon High School baseball dugout renovation project is nearly complete! Work began on Saturday, and thanks to an incredible team of volunteers and generous donors, the project has moved along quickly. A big thank you goes to Eric Hamilton for organizing the project and bringing the right people together. Bill Riecken has taken the lead on the construction side, ensuring everything was done with quality and care. We’re also grateful for the following contributors: - GAF and Chad McDowell for donating the roofing materials, including shingles, underlayment, and drip edge. - The M-Club for covering the cost of wood and nails needed for the renovation. - John Campbell, who will be completing the final step—painting the dugouts. - The "unnamed" foot soldiers who showed up and helped with manpower for this project. We’re proud of the teamwork and community spirit that brought this project to life. Our baseball facilities are looking better than ever, and our student-athletes will benefit from these improvements for years to come. Go Wildcats! #LevelUP
