Mt. Vernon Wildcats Walk It Off Versus Princeton Tigers. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the eighth when Jack Campbell singled, scoring one run. Mt. Vernon Varsity Wildcats were the first to get on the board in the first when Luke Weintraut hit a solo home run to left field. Princeton Varsity Tigers tied the game up in the top of the seventh thanks to two singles. Levi Embrey earned the win for Mt. Vernon Varsity Wildcats. The reliever allowed one hit and zero runs over one and one-third innings, Mason Dye started and the righty surrendered eight hits and three runs (two earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking four. Logan Clowers and Weintraut each collected two hits for the Wildcats.
