Mt. Vernon’s Drew Aaron to Sign with University of Evansville Track & Field Program Mt. Vernon High School is proud to announce that senior Drew Aaron will be continuing his academic and athletic career at the University of Evansville, where he will compete as a thrower on the Purple Aces' Track & Field team. A dedicated member of the Wildcat Track & Field program for the past four years, Aaron has earned three varsity letters and proven himself as a committed and driven competitor. He chose the University of Evansville for its close proximity to home and the opportunity to continue challenging himself through athletics. “This sport allows me to push past my limits,” said Aaron, who plans to major in Physical Therapy. The University of Evansville competes in the Missouri Valley Conference and continues to build a competitive presence in Track & Field under the leadership of a dedicated coaching staff. Vernon Athletic Department invites the community to celebrate Drew’s accomplishments at his official signing ceremony on Wednesday, May 21 at 3:15 p.m. in the Mt. Vernon High School Athletic Foyer.
