Mount Vernon Swimmers Ozzy Jankowski and Peyton McDaniel have been invited to attend the first stop of the World Cup series, which takes place Oct 10-12 in Carmel, Indiana. This series features swimmers from over 50 national federations from 5 different continents. This is quite an honor! Each swimmer will compete in 3 events. Ozzy will swim the 50, 100, and 200 butterfly and Peyton will swim the 50 and 100 butterfly and 50 free. Indiana swimmers with qualifying cut times were invited to attend. Ozzy currently ranks in the top 4 for his age group in Indiana and top 100-200 in the nation in his fly events. Peyton ranks in the top 2 in Indiana and 26-33rd in the nation in her events for 15 year olds. Several other Mount Vernon swimmers currently rank in the top of the state. Camas O'Daniel's 200 breast is the 15th fastest time this year for 14 year olds. Adley Kettinger (age 12) finished in the top 8 of the state in her breaststroke and placed 9th in the Central Zones multi-state competition. Good luck, Wildcats! We are behind you all the way!
